Build your own query or setup the panels on the left by clicking any of the out of total queries, after the panels are loaded click the Submit button at the bottom of "Query Criteria Selected" section to run it. To search by Query number, use “#” before number (i.e. #200) in Search areas.
Data specific to the crash such as the date, time, location, first harmful event, light, and atmospheric conditions.
This data contains information describing the in-transport motor vehicles and the drivers of in-transport motor vehicle who are involved in the crash. There is one record per in-transport motor vehicle. Parked and working vehicle information is in the Parkwork data file.
This data contains information describing all persons involved in the crash including motorists (i.e., drivers and passengers of in-transport motor vehicles) and non-motorists (e.g., pedestrians and pedalcyclists). It provides information such as age, sex, vehicle occupant restraint use, and injury severity. There is one record per person.
An occupant of a vehicle who is in physical control of a motor vehicle in transport, or for an out-of-control vehicle, an occupant who was in control until control was lost.
Any person who is in or upon a motor vehicle in transport. Includes the drivers, passengers, and persons riding on the exterior of a motor vehicle.
A pedestrian is defined as any person on foot, walking, running, jogging, hiking, sitting, or lying down who is involved in a motor vehicle traffic crash.
A person on a vehicle that is powered solely by pedals.
This is not a comprehensive list of all vehicle makes and models. This only represents the makes and models involved in Fatal Motor Vehicle Crashes as collected by FARS. The make, model and Body Class coding is derived from decoding the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The VIN decoding is performed by the NHTSA Product Information Catalog and Vehicle Listing (vPIC) application.
